James Grana, of Techy Ninjas once posted a great tip from one of his adventures, and shared with me personally that whether you’re traveling by train, plane, or car, your experience can be stressful if you don’t dress properly. That’s why you should know the things to avoid wearing when traveling. Here are some of the things that you should not wear whenever you travel.
Shoes with Closures
Avoid shoes with straps, buckles, laces, and other time-consuming closures. A shoe that has something that will take your precious time to get off and on should be avoided when traveling. Instead, wear shoes that you can easily put on and off.
Complicated Clothing
Avoid clothes that make going to the bathroom difficult for you. Train stations, airports, bus stations, and planes have unsanitary and small restrooms. Therefore, avoid making things hard on yourself by dressing in clothes that make going to the bathroom difficult for you. For instance, bodysuits may sound comfortable. However, they are a major hassle to put on or off when traveling.
Valuable or Flashy Jewelry
Don’t put on your flash jewelry when traveling because this will make you an easy target for burglars. You can wear your engagement ring or wedding band when traveling. However, try to keep jewelry to the minimum when traveling. That way, you will avoid the chances of having your precious jewelry broken, stolen, or even lost when traveling.
Clothes with Offensive Graphics or Slogans
Some people are easily offended by graphics and slogans that they don’t like. Therefore, don’t put yourself at risk by wearing a t-shirt with a potentially offensive graphic or slogan. Instead, keep clothing that expresses your political views or wear words away when traveling.
Cologne or Perfume
Avoid cologne and perfume when traveling by plane. Although you may find the smell of your perfume great, the person sited next to you can find it irritating. Your cologne can also be a problem for allergic people. Therefore, carry your fragrance without applying it. That way, you can use your perfume upon arrival at your travel destination.
Ideally, you should not wear anything that can ruin your travel experience. Avoid wearing these things when traveling to make your trip comfortable and enjoyable.
